GTV verified facts
Evidence-backed business information supplied by Ground Truth Verified, with verification and reverification dates where available.
Data sources & corrections
A useful index should show where its information came from, when it was observed, and how a business can challenge an error.
Source categories
Evidence-backed business information supplied by Ground Truth Verified, with verification and reverification dates where available.
Official business websites, published menus or service lists, and other public information controlled by the business.
Visible listing fields and presence signals from maps, directories, social platforms, and other public services, recorded at a point in time.
Public or properly licensed business and geographic data used according to its source terms and documented provenance.
Limited category or description inferences when justified by available evidence, always separated from verified facts.
Current data foundation
Stable IDs, business identity, postal geography, and coordinates are mapped. Neighborhood and district labels will be normalized before local findings are released.
Website, social, map, and public-page signals can be converted into presence measures without exposing private contacts or provider identifiers.
Score, component, confidence, date, and methodology-version fields are mapped. Draft and non-public reports remain excluded from findings.
Verification and reverification dates are available. Historical snapshots and observation dates will preserve change rather than overwrite it.
What we will retain
Index-ready records are designed to preserve entity identifiers, source type, observation date, measurement version, confidence, geography, category, verification state, and the fields needed to reproduce published aggregates.
Historical values will be retained when practical so changes in freshness, coverage, and visibility can be distinguished from one-time snapshots.
Boundaries
Specific products, services, awards, accessibility claims, pricing, or business qualities will not be asserted without supporting evidence.
The Index is designed around public business knowledge, not private information about owners, staff, or customers.
Material corrections to published research should be dated and explained rather than silently changing the historical record.
Correction channel
A documented correction-request process will allow businesses and source owners to identify records, supply evidence, and understand the outcome. Contact details will be published here once the operational channel is active.
