Data licensing + partnerships

Local business knowledge,
ready to be used responsibly.

The Ground Truth Index is building a comparable, provenance-aware measurement layer for organizations that need to understand local commerce at business, category, neighborhood, and city scale.

A developing data asset

From scattered records to decision-ready local insight.

Local business data is often abundant but difficult to trust. Names, categories, locations, operating details, digital presence, and verification signals may be incomplete, stale, inconsistent, or restricted by source terms.

GTI turns approved signals into documented measures with scope, observation dates, confidence, and methodology versions attached. Licensing will begin selectively as coverage and publication safeguards mature.

Illustrative analytical views

See the market. Understand the entity. Answer the question.

A commissioned engagement can connect business-level records to category, geographic, and market context—then turn that evidence into a client-specific output.

High-level provenance framework

How signals become accountable knowledge.

GTI does more than collect records. Each engagement organizes permitted signals into traceable entities, evaluates the evidence, assigns a clear knowledge status, and prepares governed outputs for the approved purpose.

Who it can serve

One knowledge layer. Several serious uses.

Partnership inquiries open
01

Platform and AI teams

Improve entity understanding, geographic coverage, data freshness analysis, and the evaluation of local-business knowledge systems.

02

Cities and associations

Benchmark digital inclusion, identify knowledge gaps, compare categories or districts, and measure change over time.

03

Researchers and media

Use documented measures, scope notes, and time-stamped findings for analysis, reporting, and public-interest research.

04

Enterprise partners

Commission category, market, or geographic studies aligned with a defined business or planning question.

Potential licensed outputs

Structured around the question—not a generic data dump.

Depending on scope, rights, maturity, and intended use, an engagement may include business-entity coverage, geographic and category benchmarks, aggregate Index measures, freshness and provenance fields, verification-status signals, time-series movement, research tables, or a custom study.

  • Completeness, freshness, consistency, AI visibility, and verification measures
  • Business, category, neighborhood, and city-level analysis
  • Documented field definitions, observation dates, and methodology versions
  • Raw or analysis-ready CSV and JSON files matched to the approved use case
  • Custom research or AI-assisted analysis for a defined geography, category, or question

Measurement granularity

From one business to an entire market.

Engagements can be designed at the most useful level of detail, including individual business entities—not only citywide averages.

Entity

Individual business

Approved record-level identity, location, category, observation, verification-status, provenance, and analytical fields for a specific business.

Cohort

Custom segment

A defined portfolio, client list, business type, category, chain, competitor set, or other purpose-built group.

Place

Neighborhood or district

Granular geographic analysis by neighborhood, district, postal code, corridor, or another agreed boundary.

Market

City or multi-market

Comparable category and place-level views across a city, a group of cities, or a commissioned expansion market.

Business-level availability depends on the approved use, applicable source rights, privacy requirements, and the maturity of the requested fields. Aggregate findings can be supplied when record-level redistribution is not appropriate.

Flexible delivery

Use the data your way—or ask us to help interpret it.

Optional analysis service
01

Data for your own systems

License an approved raw or analysis-ready dataset with documented fields, provenance, observation dates, scope notes, and usage terms. Your team can load it into its own analytics, mapping, research, or AI environment.

02

Custom AI-assisted analysis

Add a purpose-built analysis layer for the questions your organization needs answered. We can configure AI modules around agreed instructions, evaluation criteria, classifications, comparisons, summaries, and structured outputs—then deliver the results as fields, tables, files, or a decision-ready report.

Private by agreement. Designed around the use case.

Client-provided inputs, custom instructions, evaluation logic, and resulting outputs can be treated as confidential and proprietary under the engagement agreement. Each workflow is scoped and tested for the project; it is not represented as a universal model, guaranteed prediction, or unrestricted automated decision system.

Responsible by design

Licensing must preserve trust.

We do not treat access to a source as permission to redistribute it. Any licensed output will respect provider terms, privacy obligations, provenance, correction procedures, and the distinction between observed, inferred, and verified facts.

Restricted provider fields, private operational records, draft research, and unsupported claims are excluded unless a specific lawful basis and agreement permit their use.
